River Cree Resort & Casino was filled with music, nostalgia, and a booming crowd on August 8, 2026, as Filipino band Free Style brought their highly anticipated It’s About Time concert to Edmonton. Produced by Rhythm Live, led by Mandy and Lalaine Joson, in association with NY Entourage Productions, together with the Event Manager Myra Jacinto, owner of MYXZ Images, the concert brought together Filipino music lovers who grew up listening to the band’s timeless songs. For many attendees, the night was more than just a concert—it was a journey back to memories and moments connected to Free Style’s music.

Free Style is composed of Top Suzara, Ian Tan, Bouy Manalo, IJ Garcia, and Gibson Viduya, who have been part of the Filipino music scene for years. As someone who grew up listening to their songs, seeing them perform live felt like traveling back in time. Their music brought back memories for an entire generation of fans. The band performed many of their original songs, with the crowd especially enjoying the beloved hit “Before I Let You Go.” Fans sang along, danced, and enjoyed every moment as the familiar songs filled the venue.

The concert ended on a magical note when Free Style performed “A Sky Full of Stars.” Audience members turned on their phone flashlights, creating a beautiful starry-night effect across the venue. It was a fitting and emotional finale to an unforgettable evening.

The event was made possible through the generous support of the sponsors, Rhythm Live production team, volunteers, guest artists—Edel Quibol, John Paul Madrona, and Ralph Zandueta and hosts Jeph Flores and Heart Dagatan, and everyone who worked behind the scenes. The night also came with unexpected surprises from Jayu Global Corporation, as lucky concertgoers discovered gifts hidden under their seats.

Free Style: It’s About Time proved that great music never goes out of style. The band gave Edmonton not only a memorable concert, but a night filled with nostalgia, and joy that fans will surely want to experience all over again!
