This year, we celebrate an extraordinary milestone as our beloved Teodora “Doring” Nagera reaches 103 years of age on September 23, 2026.

Family and friends gathered on September 12 for a special celebration in her honour. It was a beautiful afternoon filled with love, laughter, stories, and gratitude for the incredible gift of having Mama Doring with us for more than a century.

A Life Filled with Milestones

Mama Doring’s journey has been marked by many unforgettable celebrations. Her 80th birthday, 90th birthday, and most recently her 100th birthday were grand occasions surrounded by family, relatives, and friends from near and far.

Each of these milestone birthdays created memories that have become part of our family stories—celebrations that are still talked about to this day. They were not simply birthday parties; they were gatherings that brought generations together and reminded everyone of the importance of family, friendship, love, and togetherness.

Her 100th birthday celebration was especially meaningful—a once-in-a-lifetime milestone that brought together many of the people whose lives she has touched throughout the years. Looking back, it is heartwarming to know that these celebrations have become cherished memories that continue to bring smiles and laughter whenever they are remembered.

103 Years of Blessings

Reaching 103 is a remarkable achievement, but for our family, Mama Doring’s greatest legacy is not simply the number of years she has lived. It is the love she has given, the family she has nurtured, the values she has passed down, and the memories she has created across generations.

Her life has witnessed more than a century of change—from a very different world in which she was born to the modern world of today. Through it all, she has remained a beloved and respected matriarch of the family.

We are deeply grateful to God for blessing us with her presence and for allowing us to celebrate another year of her remarkable life.

As family and friends gathered once again this year, there was a shared feeling of gratitude: 103 years is not just a milestone—it is a blessing to be celebrated.

Teodora “Doring” Nagera: A Lifetime of Service

For more than seven decades, Teodora “Doring” Nagera has dedicated her life to leadership, volunteerism, and community service. Her leadership journey began in the Philippines, where she served as a Barangay Captain in Colasi, Mercedes, Camarines Norte.

After moving to Calgary, Doring continued her passion for helping others through the Golden Generation Seniors Club, Caring Hands of Jesus, and Calgary Wildrose Lions Club. Her tireless volunteerism and fundraising earned her the honour of being crowned Calgary Wildrose Lions Club Queen and Queen of Charity in 2012.

She was later recognized with the prestigious Melvin Jones Fellowship Award for her humanitarian service and is now a Lifetime Member of the Wildrose Lions Club.

Throughout her years of service, Doring has received numerous awards and certificates recognizing her contributions to seniors, cultural activities, charitable work, and community service.

But perhaps her greatest legacy is the example she has set for others. For Doring, leadership has always been about recognizing the potential in volunteers, strengthening their weaknesses, appreciating their contributions, and giving others the opportunity to shine.

At 103, Mama Doring’s spirit of service continues to inspire generations. Her life reminds us that true leadership is not measured by titles, but by the lives touched, people helped, and communities strengthened through a lifetime of selfless service.

Looking Ahead to 105!

And, of course, we are already looking ahead!

If God continues to bless Mama Doring with good health, strength, and many more precious days, the family is looking forward to celebrating another extraordinary milestone—her 105th birthday in September 2028.

After celebrating her 80th, 90th, 100th, and now 103rd birthdays, who knows what stories, laughter, and surprises await us when we gather again for 105?

For now, we treasure every moment, every smile, every story, and every opportunity to be together with our beloved Mama Doring.

Happy 103rd Birthday, Teodora “Doring” Nagera! ❤️🎂🎉

May God continue to bless you, keep you in His loving care, and surround you with family and friends who love you dearly.
